Private investment has been part of PNB's portfolio since its inception in 1978. At present, the portfolio of PNB comprises direct investments in private companies in the form of either controlling stakes or substantial minority shareholdings, as well as indirect investment in private equity funds globally.
Deployment strategy guided by the Private Investment Framework (PIF) which was implemented in 2018, aiming at diversifying PNB's assets further into private equity asset class domestically and globally.
The PIF compares different measures and analytical approaches to assess the value impact of each decision by using global best practices of private equity investment models. This will allow us to ensure that capital is being deployed in the best interest of unit holders, ultimately leaving a direct and lasting accretive impact in the long term value of the investments.
