In PNB’s more than 40-year journey as a premier investment institution in the country, we made it a priority not only to deliver our mandate on the creation of wealth for Bumiputeras and Malaysians at large, but to also ensure that we have a positive impact on the economy and also on the well-being of society. Financial education for the public has been and continues to be our top priority as it helps to empower the public towards becoming a financially-savvy society.
PNB’s flagship financial literacy programme, Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM) or the Malaysia Unit Trust Week was first introduced on 20 April 2000. The date of 20th April was chosen to commemorate the launch date of PNB's first unit trust scheme, ASN on 20 April 1981. MSAM aimed to enhance public understanding of PNB and its portfolio of companies, as well as to educate the public on investment and financial planning through exhibitions and interactive edutainment programmes. Since the inaugural event in 2000 until 2019, a total of 20 MSAM events had been organised nationwide covering all state capitals and secondary towns which included PWTC, Kuala Lumpur (2000), Kota Bharu, Kelantan (2001), Alor Setar, Kedah (2002), Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur (2003), Kepala Batas, Penang (2004), Seremban, Negeri Sembilan (2005), Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu ( 2006), Kuantan, Pahang (2007), Ayer Keroh, Malacca (2008), Johor Bahru, Johor (2009), Kuching, Sarawak (2010) Ipoh, Perak (2011), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah ( 2012), Kangar, Perlis ( 2013), Tunjung, Kelantan (2014), Sibu, Sarawak (2015), Tapah, Perak ( 2016), Temerloh, Pehang (2017) Batu Pahat, Johor (2018) and Sungai Petani, Kedah (2019).

Minggu Saham Digital (MSD) is a digital adaptation of Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM). Every year, for the past two decades, PNB had organised MSAM, an onsite event that provided a face-to-face platform for the Malaysian public to become acquainted with the institution and its investee companies, as well as a way for our unit holders to be able to visualise how their investments contribute towards the strength of Malaysia’s economy.
Whilst MSAM attracted visitors in a particular locality, MSD enables PNB to continue its efforts to improve financial literacy and to reach out to all Malaysians at the touch of their fingertips. After a successful inauguration run in 2020, PNB once again hosts MSD with the theme #LaburBersama from 17 to 23 November 2021 through Facebook and YouTube.
This seven-day livestream digital event features interactive, entertaining and engaging contents to educate and empower Malaysians of all ages to #LaburBersama and achieve financial independence.. MSD 2021 hosts over 70 shows and contests throughout the week with over 2,000 prizes to be won worth over RM500,000. The main contests throughout the week are Jom… Kira Duit, daily lucky draws and daily Live Trivia quizzes.

Seminar Pelaburan 360 is a daily seminars conducted by ASNB-certified financial planners. Its objectives are to raise awareness on the importance of financial planning; to provide a comprehensive method for participants to draw up a financial roadmap towards achieving their short, medium and long-term financial goals such as for their retirement, children's education or financial freedom. Seminar Pelaburan 360 also introduces ASNB unit trust funds as a competitive investment vehicle that can form the basis of a financial plan. In 2020, 75 seminars were carried out until the implementation of the first movement control order (MCO) in March.
When the MCO was implemented, we converted physical Seminar Pelaburan 360 sessions
throughout the country to the virtual platform. The objectives of the Live Webinar Sessions
with ASNB remain the same as those of the Seminar Pelaburan 360, with a special focus
on financial planning, investments, the risk/return relationship, the compounding effects of
returns over the long term and other related topics.
