21
October 2025

The PNB Knowledge Forum 2025 was held on 21 October 2025 with the theme “Transformation”. The forum explored transformation through four interconnected lenses – economic, geographic, organisational, and personal – bringing together global thinkers, national leaders, and corporate architects to examine how Malaysia can navigate disruption and drive inclusive and sustainable progress.

The forum's landmark conversation featured YAB Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, in dialogue with veteran journalist Lorraine Hahn, discussing national reform and Malaysia MADANI in the context of global transformation.

The forum also featured distinguished keynote speakers including Dr. Yanis Varoufakis, former Finance Minister of Greece; Christian Majgaard, former Head of Global Brands at LEGO; and Shaun Cochran, Head of Research at CLSA. Panel sessions included leaders from PNB, Sime Darby Property and Maybank, as well as Venon Tian, founder of ZUS Coffee; Melati Wijsen, youth climate activist; and Douglas Lim, comedian and entrepreneur. Over 600 participants attended the event, including senior policymakers, corporate leaders, fund managers, and for the first time, students under the Celik MADANI programme and ASNB unitholders, reflecting PNB's commitment to fostering broader inclusivity. The forum aimed to bridge knowledge gaps, provoke critical debate, and share best practices on issues central to Malaysia’s economic and social transformation.
